Melanie Vesey is the founder of Vesey Agency and Promotional Rescue. She has spent the last decade helping a range of clients, from Grammy and Emmy Winners to emerging creative folk who don't even have an Instagram account, get right-sized about their promotional goals and take the actionable steps to reach them.
She started her promotional journey as a publicist at a boutique record label and quickly moved up the ranks to Vice-President of Public Relations, using her talents as an accomplished comedian, director, and writer to create and oversee quality content. It’s her goal to help other indie artists and creative biz owners grow their audience, increase their ticket sales, and get a much better perspective on the valuable tool of self-promotion without feeling gross!
In addition to working with clients all over the world, Melanie Vesey is also an accomplished comedian, actress, filmmaker, and award-winning comedy producer. She Co-Starred with Jim Carrey in Man on the Moon, can be heard on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast, in addition to Laugh After Dark and her comedy special Wild Animal, available on Amazon.
Throughout Melanie's career, she's been seen in the New York Times, The New Yorker, Paper Magazine, Playboy, Time Out, and Vanity Fair. Her short films and feature-length script have all seen festival attention. She knows first-hand what you have to deal with as a creative person who also has to navigate the uncomfortable waters of self-promotion.
